Oh, what a cold winter it’s been. For the first two months of 2010, our average temperature here in Iowa City has been a frigid 18 degrees! Needless to say, spring will be a welcome relief…if it ever gets here.
Ethan celebrated his 7th birthday this month. Between piano events and gymnastics competitions, though, we have yet to set a date to celebrate his birthday! Ethan had his second gymnastics competition this month, and we’ve posted a video.
Emily is our star poet. She wrote a haiku in class that won in a city-wide poetry competition. Here’s her poem:
Summer
Bare feet tingling
Ripples in refreshing pools
Blazing, boiling days.
Ah, if only it were here already!!
