Happy Autumn! Happy Halloween! Happy Thanksgiving!
The Advent season is upon us already, and as the old song goes: “Time keeps on slipping…into the future!” The fall has gotten completely away from us. Emily and Ethan continue to keep busy with school, music and other extracurricular activities. Ethan has changed gyms and is now doing boys team gymnastics at the University of Iowa. He has moved up to Level 5 and is more challenged, especially since he was away from the gym for more than more than a month. He will start competing at Level 5 in January. (Emily is taking a break from gymnastics this year and we’re considering other sports for her.)
Halloween was a lot of fun for the kids. Grandma Pat made Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood costumes for the kids and they loved it! Both kids have finished reading the Harry Potter series (Emily bulldozed through it four times and Ethan read all seven books in a span of six months!)
We’re spending the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) close to home this year. We wish you all the season’s blessings!
